sign up for volunteer and tutor
Students succeed academically and socially with coaching and tutoring! K-12 students can receive tutoring, mentoring, and homework assistance in a group or one-on-one setting. You can tutor online or on campus (if teacher) Monday through Thursday from 3:30pm to 7:00pm, and Saturday from 9:00am to 12:30pm. Furthermore, we assist tutors in developing learning plans.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Math/English tutoring experience of two years or four years is required for this position. Special education experience would be beneficial
- Computer skills required Teachers and substitutes are encouraged to apply
- A candidate should be capable of tutoring students in reading, writing, phonics, and/or math
- Candidates should be reliable, have strong communication skills, and be committed to motivating and educating students
- BILINGUAL SKILLS A PLUS
- If you do not already have one, you will need to provide a Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance card if you do not have one. Mentors must be at least 23.
